Meet the passionate team driving our vision forward together.
Our farm resort has the maximum women-power holding the divisions with care, love and a high sense of integrity. One of the founders (Rinzin Wangmo) strongly believes in supporting women to financial independence. She feels this is one of the key foundations of a matriarch infused society.
Groomed by experts from RITH (Royal Institute of Tourism Hospitality) which is the nation’s premium training center, our team weaves the tradition of Bhutanese sense of hos[pitality with modern knowhow. As someone rightly said “owners work like employees and employees work like owners”. We inculcate this philosophy in our daily affairs. We are a family built on the Bhutanese sense of integrity (Tha-damtsi Lay-judrel).
The human faces adorn the property in the management, however our philosophy rests on the five coloured flag sitting on one of the traditional gates. This ubiquitous flag seen on rooftops of many Bhutanese farmmhouses has many interpretations: at Dhumra Farm, we interpret it as a code of living in harmony with nature. So the Living Beings, Non-living beings and the Other Beings are part of our team. We consider sharing the planet with all the beings of the sky, clouds, the space, the forests and the ground.
Dhumra Farm Resort’s team is set to carry on this legacy as tourism heads towards new visions such as Conscious travelling, Eco-tourism, Sustainable tourism or Regenerative tourism. We are proud that Bhutan’s tourism policy as framed by the Royal Vision since the 1970s has laid those foundations, way back then. We, at Dhumra Farm, feel that “The Team” has the responsibility of being the torch bearers to the Royal Vision.
Dhumra Farm founders have carefully chosen the staff and had them trained by experts from RITH (Royal Institute of Tourism & Hospitality) which is Bhutan’s premium tourism & hospitality training center. We also have occasional training from other agencies with special reference to BAFRA (Bhutan Agriculture & Food Regulatory Authority).
